We are ready either to bring your existing ideas to life or to introduce you to distinctive professional solutions.
Design Development and Approval
The design process for a one-bedroom apartment begins with communication between the client and the designer.
During the first meeting, the main details are discussed and the project goals and requirements are defined.
The next stage involves a site visit, inspection, and accurate measurements.
Once the principal terms have been agreed and the design contract has been signed, our team begins developing a bespoke project for your apartment.
Deka-Art prepares plans and technical drawings and creates 3D visualizations that allow the client to see how the interior will look after completion.
Viewing the three-dimensional model on screen makes it possible to assess the proposed result realistically and introduce any necessary changes before construction begins.
At every stage of the project, the client is encouraged to participate actively and share their preferences.
Once all details have been carefully reviewed and approved, we complete the full 3D design package, including printable plans and drawings.
After the project has been finalized, we prepare a detailed cost estimate for the required works.

Organizing the Space Through Zoning
A typical one-bedroom apartment in a new residential development often lacks clearly defined functional areas.
Furniture may be arranged without a consistent plan, while new items are placed wherever space happens to be available.
As a result, circulation becomes difficult, the interior feels disorganized, and everyday comfort is reduced.
Effective zoning is one of the best solutions for a compact and inconvenient layout.
Creating dedicated areas for relaxation, work, and, where required, a child’s corner can significantly improve both functionality and comfort.
Moving between daily activities becomes easier when fewer unnecessary movements are required and circulation routes remain clear.
With intelligent planning, even a compact apartment can be divided into practical functional areas and may become more comfortable and ergonomic than a poorly organized larger property.
Storage is one of the most important considerations.
Clothing, footwear, bed linen, and household items should be organized in a way that uses the available space as efficiently as possible.
Full-height cabinets extending from floor to ceiling are particularly effective.
Items used less frequently can be stored on the upper shelves, while everyday belongings remain within easy reach.
A one-bedroom apartment also requires a well-planned entrance area for shoes, outerwear, and accessories.
Additional storage can often be created by using existing niches for built-in cabinetry.
In many standard panel and brick residential buildings, apartments include a balcony or enclosed loggia.
Where the structure and insulation allow, this area may provide additional usable space.
If it cannot be adapted as a sleeping or working area, built-in cabinets can be installed for storing seasonal and household items.
Many older residential buildings also have unusually narrow kitchens.
Although a rational layout cannot eliminate every limitation, it can make cooking and everyday use considerably easier.
Custom kitchen cabinetry is especially important, as it allows the available area to be used as efficiently as possible.
Design Ideas for a One-Bedroom Apartment
Before beginning a contemporary renovation, it can be useful to review successful design examples.
Proven planning solutions can provide inspiration and form the basis of an individual project.
These may include:
- defining functional zones in larger studio-style apartments;
- using comfortable upholstered furniture to create a welcoming atmosphere;
- making effective use of corners and awkward spaces with built-in cabinets;
- replacing standard doorways with wider openings or arches where appropriate;
- using several sources of soft lighting to create a layered and comfortable atmosphere.
